THE TEACHER.
Mrs. Sarah Watkins graduated from Whitesburg High School in 2005 and received her
Bachelor of Arts in Secondary Social Studies Education from the University of
the Cumberlands in 2009. She also has a minor in Spanish Teaching and completed her Masters Degree in Teacher Leader in 2014. This will be her seventh year teaching, at Letcher County Central High School in Whitesburg, KY, Knox Central High School in Barbourville, KY, and now at Corbin High School. Mrs. Watkins has traveled to many places, her favorite including Venezuela and Mexico. She has done mission work with the Piaroa tribe in the Amazon Rainforest, been the president of Phi Alpha Theta, the History Honor Society at Cumberland, and published several papers in The Upsilonian. Her favorite thing to do- watch Little House on the Prairie.
This year, Mrs. Watkins will be teaching US History, along with an elective course, Spanish I.
